What is it like to live in an ecovillage, cohousing neighborhood, commune, or other intentional community?
How do you start one, sustain it, grow it, and solve the hardest challenges?
Communities magazine exists to address these questions and to share new models for sustainability.
For over 40 years Communities has connected people to the pulse of the communities movement, by chronicling the people, organizations, ideas, and methods making it happen.
Each quarterly issue focuses on a new theme. The Winter issue, called 'The Many Faces of Community,' includes veterans of the High Wind Association network and others share their experiences exploring and cultivating community both within and outside of intentional community settings—from refugee camps and inner city schools to small towns and rural ecovillages.
Local food, space colonization, compassionate communication, and a host of other topics find their way into these pages as well. Please join us!
Discover inspiring examples of cooperation and creativity, as people work together to solve problems and create a better, more equitable, and ecological world.
