For 25 years, the Fellowship for Intentional Communities (FIC) has been offering extensive resources to individuals and communities pursuing cooperative culture. To that aim, one of our pillar offerings is the Communities Directory, an in-depth book for connecting interested humans with communes, cohousing cooperatives, ecovillages, and intentional communities in the US and all over the planet.
Last fall, FIC launched a kickstarter campaign to raise the funds to publish it's seventh edition of the Communities Directory. Not only did we meet our goal, but we exceeded it! We are immensely grateful for all of our supporters that recognize the deep value of this book and the resource we provide.
At long last the new edition is complete, published and printed, and it is available to you at the FIC Community Bookstore. Now we offer to you not only over 1,200 communities, but also over 600 pages that include maps of community locations, charts that compare communities by more than 30 different qualities, and an easy index so you can find the community just right for you.
FIC also offers a full list of its communities online and an advanced search function for one to refine the qualities one is seeking in a community based on categories such as geography, community size, dietary preferences, decision-making methods and more. We also provide a classifieds section for communities seeking members, land for sale, or positions available.
The Communities Directory, seventh edition has already been distributed to several hundred homes and communities that have been eagerly awaiting its completion. We are thrilled to share this invaluable resource as well as celebrate the positive impact communities are making all over the world. Please share in our celebration and visit our website to see all we have to offer.
