Impact Education - The Sustainability Centre
by Permaculture Magazine
The Sustainability Centre UK, which is the home of our partners Permaculture Magazine/Permanent Publications, offers an exciting Eco Explorers Experience to international students.“Working with two of the leading international schools based in London is a delight” says Janet Hammerton, Education Manager. “The students bring a unique contribution to the programme by sharing their own international perspective with our staff. We learn together.”
Our education programme is offered to schools near and far, and does genuinely have a lasting impact on pupils lives.
We also offer a variety of courses promoting permaculture practice and principles, and were delighted to welcome students and tutors from around the world in 2015 to our first social permaculture course with Looby MacNamara, Robin Clayfield, Starhawk, Robina McCurdy and Peter Cow.
This short film will give you a chance to see these children from The Southbank International School, Kensington during their visit.
This year The Sustainability Centre celebrates its 21st anniversary and is one of the earliest of its kind to provide a broad range of opportunities for outdoor environmental learning programmes and sustainable lifestyle solutions. Our education programmes encourage people into the great outdoors, learning about nature and how to live with a deeper connection to our environment, whilst acknowledging our fragile eco-system and how we can live in harmony with our surroundings.
Permanent Publications have partnered with Gaia Education to offer the books from the 4 Keys series we published together at a very special price PLUS you will receive a free digital film too! The price for these four breakthrough titles = £79.75, but we are offering 100 packages of all four books (on a first come first served basis) for just £30.00 (that’s a saving of over 60%). The 4 Keys represent the four dimensions of sustainable design - the Worldview, the Social, the Ecological and the Economic. This series is endorsed by UNESCO and is an official contribution to the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.
