It is firmly believed that the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) should not be separated from the global communities that forge them, and Gaia Education has developed this educational tool in collaboration with the UNESCO GAP Secretariat. The SDG Teaching Card contains more than 200 questions on the system-wide approach to achieving the 2030 Agenda.
These cards enable a problem-centric group conversation. They invite participants to collaborate to identify actions and solutions to implement the SDGs in ways that are relevant to their lives and communities. This is an effective way to establish local community ownership for the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Flashcards are used in the SDG Training of Multipliers. Check out the SDG Training Multipliers Handbook for a detailed description of how to prepare, promote, and how to use these cards more easily to promote community activist training.

Description
The Sustainable Development Goals Flashcards form the four dimensions of the Gaia Education’s overall system sustainability (social, ecological, economic and worldview) approach. Participants in the Training of Multipliers for the Sustainable Development Goals explore these four dimensions of each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in a problem-centred dialogue.
Achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development – starting with a community – requires us to work together to create a solution that is compatible with local ecosystems and cultures, and to promote a wide range of cultural and creative dialogues that change behaviour. By joining the SDG Training of Multipliers and accessing these SDGs Flashcards and the Training of Multipliers Handbook, you will have the opportunity to participate in such conversations and learn an easy-to-replicate process to conduct more of these conversations yourself and organize your own training.
