What is a good life?
Our academy is a holistic lifelong learning place for the vivid exploration of this question. Together we develop practical and sustainable answers to the global challenges of our time. This open learning workshop is embedded in a community that lives permanently on site.
Here people have the opportunity to develop their personal potentials and to test their visions in practice. They are supported by mentors. At the same time, living in community promotes self-reflection and the development of an authentic and responsible personality.
We fill the Academy with faculties full of inspiring practices, technologies and know-how for social transformation to the good life for all. In the areas of people, culture, ecology, technology and systems, we build productive and public welfare-oriented businesses that strengthen sustainable economic cycles and make the region more sustainable.
Within our community, we build common-good-oriented companies in five specialist areas (human, ecology, technology, culture, systems). In the department of ecology for example: are we about to set up a regenerative agriculture-farm. All 5 domains together are the most holistic approach to transformational education and research we could think of. They are strongly interconnected and their common aim is to further develop sustainable solutions for global challenges, together with universities and research institutes.
All 5 departments are complemented by modules from the three basic areas of the academy (system-analysis, community-building and potential-development). These 3 areas support new students when they enter the academy to find their own gifts and unfold them in the context of our global challenges. By assuming concrete responsibility and carrying out their own research projects in one of the departments, people can develop their potential in a meaningful context.
