A 6-week Learning Journey with Daniel Wahl

Embark on a profound exploration of regenerative design with renowned sustainability expert, Daniel Wahl. Join us on a captivating journey through Gaia Education's 4-dimensional whole systems design curriculum, where Daniel will unveil the synergy between the 'Ecovillage Design Education' (EDE) and 'Design for Sustainability and Regeneration' (GEDS) programs. With nearly two decades of experience, these courses have empowered individuals globally to actively contribute to the regeneration of their communities and bioregions.





This 6 week programme experiments with a dialogical format which gives more than two-thirds of the live sessions to participants' questions and dialogue with Daniel Wahl. We learn with and from each other as a glocal (global/local) community of practitioners. 

The online reading material, optional videos and short introductory reflections at the start of each sessions, the use of poetry and 'active listening' in participant break out groups, along with the 2nd dialogue live session each week facilitated by Gaia Education team for the participants to reflect further on the sessions with Daniel raised, are all designed to generate deeper questions and dialogue, as well as, to harvest insights in the context of your own life and next steps.

Course Creator

Daniel Christian Wahl is one of the catalysts of the rising reGeneration, one of the original GEESE (founders of Gaia Education), the first author of the GEDS 4 Dimensions and the author of the book Designing Regenerative Cultures and many expressive articles. He works as a consultant, educator and activist with NGOs, businesses, governments and global change agents. With degrees in biology and holistic science, and a PhD in Design for Human and Planetary Health, his work has influenced the emerging fields of regenerative design and salutogenic design. Winner of the 2021 RSA Bicentenary Medal for applying design in service to society. Awarded a two year Volans-Fellowship in 2022.
