How can our work become an expression of care—for ourselves, our communities, and the planet?

When we think of livelihood as a form of service to the wellbeing us, our community and nature, new possibilities begin to open.

In a world where conventional notions of “career” often center on productivity and profit, the idea of a regenerative livelihood invites us to re-envision our purpose through a wider lens—one that honours interconnection, creativity, and care.

A regenerative livelihood is more than a job. It is a living expression of who we are and how we contribute to the flourishing of life around us. It asks: How can we earn our living in ways that restore balance, equity, and vitality in our systems—social, ecological, and economic?

A Gaia Education online course coming up 'Cultivating Regenerative Livelihoods' explores how to meaningfully contribute while making a living to yourself and family.

The course starts 31st January 2026 and we are inviting you to join us.
